Succession se torna a série com o maior número de atores em competição por uma mesma temporada na história do Emmy. Série da HBO acumula, ao todo, 25 indicações.
É uma tendência que ganhou enorme tração no ano passado e que agora parece incorporada de vez no Emmy: a de reduzir o número de séries indicadas e distribuir o máximo possível de indicações para elas. Se a quarta temporada de The Crown, apesar de muito boa, não mereceu levar todos os prêmios de interpretação aos quais concorria no ano passado, é bem provável que Succession venha a repetir o feito no próximo dia 12 de setembro. A série da HBO segue sofisticada, mas a terceira temporada é mais irregular do que as anteriores, e há várias indicações inexplicáveis, como as de atriz convidada para Hope Davis e Sanaa Lathan.
Por mais que eu adore Hacks, também são injustificáveis, por exemplo, lembranças para as interpretações de Christopher McDonald, Kaitlin Olson e até mesmo de Laurie Metcalf, subaproveitada pelo roteiro e pouco inspirada em uma composição estereotipada. Entre os números hiperbólicos de indicações, abraço com gosto somente tudo o que The White Lotus recebeu, uma vez que a minissérie não estava sendo reconhecida como merecia na temporada e, sem dúvida, faz jus a todos os louros que lhe são dados. Com categorias chegando até oito indicados, o Emmy ainda falha em ver além de determinadas bolhas, o que é sempre uma má notícia para tempos em que há streamings e possibilidades voltadas a todo tipo de público. O que falta para a premiação refletir melhor isso de forma mais diluída?
