Foi com imensa alegria que recebi a notícia de que tive meu credenciamento aprovado para o Independent Spirit Awards! Se eu já tinha a satisfação de ser membro-votante do prêmio há dois anos, agora tudo fica ainda mais especial com essa oportunidade que eu jamais imaginaria ser possível, mesmo agora, quando completei recentemente 16 anos de escrita sobre cinema.
A cerimônia acontece no dia 25 de fevereiro em Los Angeles, com uma disputa das mais acirradas dos últimos anos, tanto em termos de probabilidade de vitória quanto em qualidade dos próprios concorrentes mesmo. Como colocar na balança filmes como Vidas Passadas, Todos Nós Desconhecidos, Segredos de Um Escândalo, Ficção Americana e até outros “menores” e ainda mais independentes como Passagens e We Grown Now?

It was with great joy that I was told that my accreditation has been approved for the Independent Spirit Awards! If I already have the satisfaction of being a voting member of the award, now everything is even more special with this opportunity that I would never have imagined possible, even now, when I recently completed 16 years as a film critic.
The ceremony takes place on February 25th in Los Angeles, with one of the fiercest competitions in recent years, both in terms of probability of victory and the quality of the competitors themselves. How to balance films like Past Lives, All of Us Strangers, May December, American Fiction and even other “smaller” and even more independent ones like Passages and We Grown Now?
